Growing up amongst the beautiful surrounds of Bringalily, Sophie was always inspired by the land and farming. With a love of colour and a few art lessons from Di Elsden as a little one, she developed a passion for acrylic painting on canvas. Sophie enjoyed entering paintings in the local show but it wasn’t until Covid lockdowns that her painting really took off. Painting for friends turned into commission work and shop paintings, ranging from florals, property landscapes, farm machinery and livestock. A teacher by trade, Sophie has combined her love of painting and rural communities by running painting workshops throughout towns in Queensland. She finds gratitude, peace and joy through her own art and hopes you will find the same.
