Clay Dempsey Art
My name is Clay Dempsey a proud 18 year old Kalkadoon man. I have lived in the town of Pittsworth my entire life with my parents Michael and Katie Dempsey and my younger brother Kambel.
I attended Pittsworth State School and Pittsworth State High School for my schooling years in 2023 throughout my senior years of schooling they helped me to get a school based traineeship in automotive refinishing technology. This traineeship turned into a full-time work with Hudson's panel beating in Pittsworth
What else do I do? I like to play football and basketball, fishing and hanging out with family and friends. I have played with the Pittsworth Danes since under 6s I'm now playing my senior playing under 19s and
Last year, senior league asked me to design the 2023 Indigenous Round jersey and have asked me to do it again this year.
But what I love to do more is my dot paintings. I have been doing it for the past 3 years. At first I was doing them for family and friends and now it's turned into something big. I'm doing markets, the jersey design and taking orders for people and later this year I'm painting a wall at the Pittsworth High School
Also last year I had the honour of participating in my first art exhibition at the Lighthouse Gallery in Toowoomba.
